White is one of my favorite colors to wear this spring. My sister wore this outfit  today on a walk through the park. She has on an airy white romper from Bloomingdales and sandals she got last summer at Off Saks.  If you like her romper, you can get one here.

My Columbia University graduation was last Sunday.  Everyone was extremely lively.  I guess we were all too excited to graduate.  I wore a white dress from Guess under my gown.  Here are some pictures.

My Barnard College graduation ceremony was held at Madison Square Garden.  Under my cap and gown, I decided to wear a hot pink dress.  You may remember it from my Francesca’s post.  My favorite part of the dress is the big bow in the back. Here are some pictures.

On Thursday of last week, I attended a boat cruise. The cruise departed from Chelsea Piers and sailed around the Hudson River. I wanted to wear something flowy that would keep me warm, so I opted for a long dress from BCBG. Here are some pictures of my outfit.

Fashion Looks of a College Graduate: Part 1

This is the first post of my five part graduation series.  After four years of work, studying and fun, l am finally a Barnard College alum. Since Barnard is a school of Columbia University, I attended three senior events and two graduations: university and school wide.  I want to share what I decided to wear to each.  Hope you enjoy!


On Tuesday, May 5,  I attended the first of the three senior events.  I had dinner with my class and later headed downtown for a night full of singing and dancing at the Sky Room Lounge in NYC.  The dress I decided to wear is from the Aqua section in Bloomingdales.

Black Romper

Last weekend, I went to Soho to shop for an outfit for my college’s spring concert and decided to purchase a plain black romper at H&M.  It’s simplicity makes it easy to style in many ways. I wore it to the concert with a bright yellow flouncy shirt and a strappy bandeau from Brandy Melville.



Burt’s Bees Natural Lip Crayon



I recently bought a Burt’s Bees lip crayon at CVS to try a natural alternative to lipstick.  I am not a girl who wears much makeup, but I am always inclined to put on a red or pink lip before I head to class.  However, I realize lipstick dries out my lips within a couple hours and contains some harmful ingredients.

I have been wearing the Burt’s Bees Hawaiian smolder natural lip crayon for around a month now.  Unlike other lipsticks I own, it applies matte and feels light on my lips.  Since my lips dry easily, I apply lip balm first.  It lasts when drinking and eating, and my lips stay moist throughout the day.  This lip crayon does not contain any fragrance or flavor.  Instead, it contains moisturizing Shea butter and other nourishing oils.

This crayon is available on the Burt’s Bees website and in major drug stores like CVS, Duane Reade and Rite Aid for nine dollars.  It comes in many more colors.

One Beautiful Spring Day

In the spring, the foliage around my school is always gorgeous.  The blossoming flowers on the trees inspired me to take a couple of pictures of my campus.

Blueberry, Banana, Pineapple Smoothie


Here is a great recipe for a refreshing smoothie I make when I am in the mood for a sweet drink. The ingredients have tons of health benefits. The high level of vitamin C in blueberries and pineapples helps your skin maintain a youthful glow and regulates body weight. Fiber and pectin in bananas aid digestion. Kale is low in calories but provides your body with plenty of Vitamin A, C and K to aid with vision, immune system health and bone preservation.  If you have 5 minutes to spare, you can not go wrong by making this energizing drink!


  • 1/3 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/3 cup frozen pineapple
  • 1/2 organic banana
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1/4 cup coconut water
  • Handful of kale
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or flavor
  • 1 tablespoon agave (optional)
  • 1 cube of ice (optional)


  • Place all ingredients except the ice and agave into a blender (a Magic Bullet or Nutri Bullet also works) and blend until smooth
  • For a sweeter and colder smoothie, add in ice and agave and re-blend for a few seconds

This makes around a cup and a quarter.
